"Katie Care"

Peace of mind, reassurance-based canine care so you can enjoy your time away!

My inspiration for Canyon Canines grew out of my own personal dog care needs for my Chocolate Lab, Teddy, and English Bulldog, Arthur. For some folks, traditional Kennel Boarding fits the bill. For other dog moms and dads, we need extra special care - more undivided attention for our canines.

I did not start my company as a desire to house as many dogs as possible but instead to provide personalized, more undivided, private/semi-private care to a select few pups at a time. My focus is on providing your dog with a seamless transition from your house to mine – hardly realizing their beloved owner and companion is absent.

I do not have a PhD in Animal Psychology. I am not a Doctor of Medicine. I am not a world-renowned Dog Trainer. What I can define myself as is an empath. I understand how scary and unsettling it is to leave your pet in the care of another, I can feel that with you and for you. I am incapable of not giving your dog the absolute best, most loving care required in your absence. Knowing I am giving you peace of mind, consistent reassurance, while allowing you to be away from your pet during that long-awaited vacation, trip abroad, honeymoon, work trip, etc. fulfills me.

A key component during your dog's stay is making sure they get adequate exercise and outdoor time. Your dog will never be left unmonitored while outdoors. My home sits about .7 mile up from the main road on 10 acres, bordering public land. For our more adventurous guests, there are endless trails to explore safe from motor vehicles.

I will have constant daily interaction with your dog. I like to structure my days with early morning walks, breakfast, fetch/play-time, lounge-time inside the home and on the deck, hikes, brain games, nap time, dinner, and an evening walk prior to winding down for the night. Creating a fun, happy, balanced and safe environment for your pet is of paramount importance.
